Today the baby waved at us on the ultrasound. What tiny little hands!
We saw the heart beating, which we have been hearing daily on our FetalBond Doppler at home. Dr Baer wanted to try out our Doppler and was able to find the heartbeat fairly quickly. He reminded us that we might not always be able to find the heartbeat because the baby moves around so much.
The second ultrasound picture on this page shows the baby in profile. The baby is no longer an embryo now, it is now a fetus.
The third ultrasound picture on this page shows that the baby is measuring a little larger than average than the gestational age. Since large babies run in Doug's family, we are not surprised.
The subchorionic hematoma is still there, but it is small, about 2 cm. You can kind of see it under the baby in the first ultrasound picture on this page.
